The Annual Ugnayan is unity in
action as TSPI clients from different communities convene in a day-long
celebration of solidarity and recognition. A time of refreshing,
women entrepreneurs leave their daily work routine and are given
the opportunity to socially interact with clients from other localities.
This year’s theme is ”Manalangin ng Sama-sama,
Pagtibayin Ang Pamilya", (The Family that Prays
Together, Stays Together). This is in keeping with TSPI’s
thrust to enrich the roles of mothers as key agents in the economic
and spiritual growth of the families. An estimated 65,000 clients
participated in 19 Ugnayan celebrations from March to June 2003.

There was an outpouring of emotions during the community prayer
and blessing of families highlighted by the symbolic lighting of
candles.

Clients showed their creative side through social presentations.
Doned in their best costumes, clients in friendly competition gamely
dished out skits, song and dance numbers to the delight of the appreciative
audience.

The event was also an opportunity to recognize outstanding
performance of clients for FY 2002-2003 Excellent and committed
work, exemplary leadership and strong team spirit served as tenets
for the selection of winners for the following categories: Best
Center, Best Center Chief, Best Entrepreneur. The awards served
as a challenge and motivation for other TSPI clients to perform
their best.
