Capability Building and Transformation Programs

I. CAPABILITY BUILDING PROGRAMS

A. Personnel Level

1. Account / Credit Officers Training Program

An extensive training program required to all TSPI personnel who will by engaged in the implementation of TSPI’s microfinance programs. This training program includes the development of the following competencies:

  • Organizing quality microfinance groups or centers
  • Processing & evaluating loan proposals
  • Managing quality centers
  • Managing delinquent accounts
2. Follow through Courses for the Account / Credit Officers

Aims to continuously advance the effectiveness of TSPI’s microfinance personnel by addressing both technical and behavioral training needs such as,

  • Advance Courses on Microfinance Implementation
  • Quality Client Relations
  • Self Management: Stress & Time Management
  • Presentation & Facilitation Skills
  • Leadership Training
3. Branch Managers and Senior Account Officers Training program

A training program that intends to equip TSPI’s potential managers to effectively and efficiently manage /supervise the day-to-day operations of a Branch. This curriculum includes the following:

  • Operations planning
  • Branch Resources Management & Internal Control
  • Monitoring & Evaluation Branch Performance
  • Managing & Controlling Delinquent Accounts
  • Implementing TKP 2
4. Management and Supervisory Development Program

In addition to the basic trainings on the successful management & implementation of microfinance, TSPI intends to offer this program to continuously enrich the capabilities of its management teams. Such as,

  • Strategic Planning
  • Personnel Management
  • Client Management
  • Problem Solving & Decision Making
B. Clients and Partner Level

1. Leadership Training

A training program to the client leaders. This program aims to enhance their understanding on their critical roles as servant-leaders of their family and communities.

2. Entrepreneurship / Livelihood Training Programs

With the support of external training institutions, this training is intended to enhance the entrepreneurial competencies of the clients. it also helps to expand their business opportunities through the introduction of various types of income generating activities.

3. Microfinance Exposure Programs

A short course provided to individuals and institutions that are interested to explore the services of TSPI microfinance programs and to experience its impact in the communities it serves.

 

II. TRANSFORMATION PROGRAMS

Consistent with TSPI’s Christian conviction, this program was designed to provide support for the moral and spiritual development of its staff and clients. Inspired by TSPI’s vision, mission and corporate values, this program is carrying out the following approaches with the assistance of various ministry partners:

  • Daily morning devotions
  • Annual retreats
  • Ecumenical services
  • Bible studies
  • Praise & worships
  • Facilitation of non-formal values education
