BUILDERS MENTORING PROGRAM
- Foundational Principle: Mobilizing TSPI engaged mission
partners in poverty eradication through combined financial
principles of small business development programs and the
nurturing principles of business mentoring.
- Missiological concept is based on Proverbs 27:17 “People
learn from one another, just as iron sharpens iron”,
and 2 Timothy 2:2 “Take the teachings that you heard
me proclaim in the presence of many witnesses, and entrust
them to reliable people, who will be able to teach others
also.”
- Targets clients who:
- Has an established business of more than 2 years with
significant opportunity for growth
- Has a dream or vision to expand the business and,
in so doing, to provide sustainable livelihood and employment
to more people and to make greater contributions to
the community
- Is willing to be mentored
- Is willing to focus their business activity into a
core business
- Has a track record in managing 5 or more employees
- Mentoring Methodology:
- Regular monthly meetings between the local business
mentor and the client, with the assigned TSPI staff
- Client seminars every four (4) months
- Occasional client fellowship
- Mobilizes local volunteer mentors who:
- Has a strong servant heart and leadership attitude
- Share the universal core values of TSPI as a Christian
organization
- Is a good communicator
- Has experience as a senior business manager in a small
or large business
